Scott Crawford is the Owner and Lead Mechanic of Cycle Werkz. Scott took mechanical engineering courses in college before he became a dealership mechanic in 1993 and started road racing in 1996. A variety of successes in CMRA and WERA endurance and sprint racing ended with an ankle injury that led Scott to start Cycle Werkz in Fort Worth.
Justin Smith started wrenching on motorcycles at SMS Cycles in Denton in 2000. It was from there that he joined Cycle Werkz. Justin currently rides a 2000 Suzuki GSXR 600 that has been heavily modified with a 2006 GSXR 1000 motor. Justin also rides a 2001 Honda CR 125R Motocross bike and rides off road as much as time will allow.
Troy Green is the fab guy at Cycle Werkz. He’s the guy that makes the custom projects come together. Troy began riding in 1994 and went on to become a professional racer that culminated with a Moto ST Team and Riders Championship in 2007 riding for the Factory Aprilia Team. Retiring from road racing, Troy started a company called Strapless Transport Stands. (Http://www.STStands.com) This company started the proliferation of strapless motorcycle transport stands phenomenon.
David Hanson is the parts guy at Cycle Werkz and has been there since 2004. He has had numerous motorcycles over the years, a 2002 Suzuki GSXR 1000 (which was his first motorcycle), a 1972 Honda CB750 Cafe Racer, a 2003 Kawasaki ZX6R, a 2006 Kawasaki ZX10R, and is currently building a Justin Smith Replica. He is the guy that answers the phones, builds the web site, and helps customers with their needs.
